Math Club: 10/17/13 - LaTeX Workshop!

Have you noticed how math department handouts and exams look so much the same, and so much better than a Word document? That's LaTeX!

LaTeX is a typesetting language that is used by math writers to layout documents, papers, textbooks and your exams! If you are thinking about graduate school this is an invaluable skill to learn! The only way to master it is to start using it! It's free to use and there are a ton of different programs out there for both Mac and PC users. Just do a quick google search and you'll find a ton of information on it. Feel free to bring your laptop and pre-install the software or just show up and get some help getting started.

Join us to get started or improve your skills. Thursday, 10/17 at 3:10 in A&S 228. Bring your laptop or ipad, and if you can't join us this week, here's a recent article to get you started: http://www.ams.org/notices/201304/rnoti-p434.pdf
